You being such a huge Sherlock Holmes fan, I want to hear your opinion on the American adaptation of Sherlock casting Lucy Liu as Watson. Do you think it's wrong because it takes away any homoerotic subtext that there may be between the Sherlock and Watson or do you find it interesting to have a female in the role of Watson?

Considering I’m not a Johnlock fan the homoerotic subtext being absent makes no difference to me, though it is humorous.  I think casting a woman as Watson is something new however I am a canon fan and I prefer Watson to be male. Since I am a canon fan I probably won’t be too much of a fan of the americn version, if it even ever makes it to australian tv.

However, the americans don’t always ruin adaptions. Their version of the office did quite well I think. Though that might be the exception.
